That suffering is amplified by the conjunction of two factors :
Vicious circle of acquired insomnia. on one hand, the subject loses a lot of time in bed for nothing because he/she thinks (right or wrong) that he/she has to wait for the sleep to come; on the other hand, he/she strongly overestimates the length of that wait, because he/she develops the skills of a watcher which he/she uses to watch (...)
